What a, "Great Day In Adams Park"!

To my neighbors and chairpersons whom worked hard and used their talents and gifts to pull off an incredible day in beautiful, historic Adams Park, Thank you!  All that I can say is "Let's Do it Again! I am going to take a rest hang out at some NPU-R meetings, finish my degree in what else, Entertainment Business and work on my house, Peace!

Seven Days Out!

Well, the "Kick Off Party" went well, the conversations were all about building strong communities, NPU's and the first festival for our community. I shared with the attendees that we will not produce the jazz stage because of the large expense. However the Family stage with "Yo' Karaoke" and "House Music in Adams Park" will go off as planned. The Jazz will be played by some of Atlanta's best Jazz Dee Jay's, I can hear Kool and The Gang's "Summer Madness" playing in my head, right now!!!!! All that along with a 5K, Health Fair, a lively Community Forum, Artists Market, Food Court and a great Kids Camp. Oh it's on and only one week away, See you at the park!

         Kudos to my neighbors for putting out yard signs all over AP on Saturday while I worked the Wheelbarrow Festival, which was a BLAST!!!!! A. & D.Martin, Poochie and wife, Doni (my right hand) all the kids that helped and you all know who you are. These are the little things that solidify a community. Thank you all so much! I can't wait to hang in the park with all of you. Do any of my Chi-town folk know the house music cut" I Hear Music in the Streets" such a classic. Find it and let me know if that needs to be our theme song, because I truly hear music in our streets. Peace!

I worried the hell out of the graphics guy. He is tired of me and I think he wanted to tell me something but his gentlemanly and southern ways saved my tail and got us this fine representation of our event. We are going to have a festival, folks!!!!!

Let's Chat!!

I am here preparing for a Planning Meeting and wanted to check in. The festival plans are coming along well. We wished we could have gotten our yard signs out this past weekend but the communication was off and a couple of other things were not in place. Saturday the 8th is our big day to get out in the communities and talk about our festival, put out yard signs and pass out 5K, flyers. I am so excited to see the signs in my neighbors yards, the buzz has started!

The 5K is heating up!

I met a new neighbor d.martin he stopped by to get some information on the festival. He had heard about it from a mutual friend. He is a runner and was thrilled to see the 5K would be coming past his home. I am happy to say that local businesses are sponsoring teens, for the race.
